On Saturday I was at my nephew's last soccer game. I got stung by a bee on my toe there. I didn't think much of it. I was thinking it's not big deal, it'll get better and go away. Well, it hasn't yet. My foot is fat, red, itchy, sore and gross. I don't even recognize it as my own foot when I look down. I started by icing it (even made me get up at 2:30am on Sunday to ice it) and putting some essential oils on it.

So tonight I got some Tylenol, Extra Strength Benadryl cream and Neosporin + Pain and Relief cream. Not sure if any of this will help since I normally don't take any medication (try to stay natural, if possible).

I'm pretty sad because I can hardly walk right - I'm just hobbling along - and can't exercise (could barely fit my foot into a slipper so there's surely no way I can squeeze it into a shoe).

How long will this last? Make it go away, please!?!?!?

Hello all...I haven't posted in a while, but have been reading about your lives. I hope that everyone is safe, happy and doing well! :o)

So, I had a sad phone call yesterday (Tuesday). My friend called to tell me she was just diagnosed on Friday with breast cancer. She said it's in the early stages and it's good that they caught it. They asked her if she wanted to have a mastectomy, but she opted for the lumpecty. So, she'll have a lumpectomy and then radiation. I guess they caught this because she did her routine mammogram.

So, I hope that everyone (who is of that age, I would guess) keeps up with their mammograms. Encourage those you love to do so as well.

Anyway, I guess I just felt like I was helpless. Like you're not sure what to say or do when someone you know and care about has something scary happen to them. I know all I could do was listen and let her know that I'm there for her. Again, it's just that feeling of helplessness when you want to make something better...if only it worked that way.

In addition to that, my mom has two sisters that live in Las Vegas. The oldest one's husband was taken in the other week to have 8 bypasses? I didn't know that could be done. I guess I've heard of quadruple bypass, but to do 8? Oh boy.

Then, today my mom's second oldest sister's husband went to the ER because of some sort of hemorrhaging. We'll find out more tomorrow about his condition after they run some tests.

So, I do hope that all of you and your loved ones are in good health. I sometimes forget that we have to be good to ourselves and our bodies and to those we love.

Don't know if I ever mentioned this, but I was able to purchase a print gocco. I had wanted one for a while and then when I finally was serious about looking for one, the news about them discontinuing them came out. Well, I was able to get one that was brand new. At first I tried looking on eBay, but the auction pricing was going crazy. I ended up just somehow getting this company to order one for me.

Anyway...Someone help me please! I really want to start using it (since it's been sitting in its box for a while now). I want to just make some things for fun and eventually maybe things to sell. Here's my problem: I CANNOT DRAW!!!! I am definitely not an artist by any means in this way. I have ideas in my head, but can't draw a thing. I can barely draw a stick person that looks right!?!? So, any suggestions? Helpful hints? You know, if it's junk for myself...not a big deal right? But, how would I ever get to the point of making cards and things for my shop if I can't even draw a decent...well, anything!

Help? Please?

Can't help it, I'm addicted, remember!?!?

Now what do I do until season 3 starts? And when will they release season 2 on DVD? Hmmmmm....

Why is the day going by so slow?

I haven't posted anything in ages...and so, of course, of all things I'm going to be whining. Sorry.

Ever go to work and just wish the time would go by faster? It was one of those mornings that starts off slow. I didn't want to wake up this morning and wanted to just stay in bed. So when my alarm went off...well, I gave myself an extra 15 to 20 minutes more of sleep. Then I had to check emails and had a couple from work (bleh). I go and stare at my clothes and can't find anything to wear to work (my fault since everything is wrinkled or in the wash...oh, and I know I should've put my clothing out the night before). Oh, and one of my car tires has a slow leak in it and needs to be fixed/replaced so I had to stop at the gas station to fill air.

Anyway...I guess because I started the day off with sort of a bad attitude I just couldn't wait to leave work. I was bored and ready to leave. But you know how you sometimes tell yourself to ignore the clock or the time that shows on your computer screen? So of course you keep looking at it? Yup, that's what I did. Just couldn't control myself (or my eyes).

So, here's wishing that all of you had more fun at your jobs than I did.

I've seen posts about Anthropologie (love it, can't afford it, though) and someone posted about trashy diva. Awesome! Love the dragon dresses!!! :o)

Anyway...since I'm in Hawaii, any good websites to visit?

Guess what I'm watching!?!? That's right, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!!! YEAH! I was looking forward to this day. I told my hubby that it's what I wanted for my birthday present. We went to Costco and even got the Grey's Anatomy Season 1 DVD. I hardly buy any DVDs (other than all of the HP movies, of course!) but have been feeling like getting a couple.

Speaking of movies, one of my favorites that they always have on VH1 Movies that Rock is The Wedding Singer. I totally HEART Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore! Anyone else like that movie? I still crack up whenever I watch it and haven't gotten sick of it yet.

What are your faves?

The Neighbors

Okay...so I know I just posted, but...

We have some interesting neighbors here. Most of them are pretty loud. They're always talking/yelling loud at each other, at the kids, at who knows what. There's usually swearing involved as well. Anyway, tonight for AT LEAST 30 minutes there was arguing (oooh, what a surprise). See, usually it's the women in the house next door that do all the yelling. This time it was a guy. Let's just say I know a little too much of this husband and wife's personal life now. There were so many swear words that, well...you can guess what words were used (let your imagination run wild). It seemed to go on for so long that my husband asked if we should call the cops. Do you ever hear things like that and wonder what to do??? It's quiet now after the second argument session. Thank goodness, since it's almost 11:30 pm!!!!
